Founded in 1955, the Music Association of California Community Colleges (MACCC) was established as an organization which promotes the educational goals of teachers within the consortium in support of their students. MACCC membership allows teachers access to online resources, advocacy, and a yearly conference. At the conference (traditionally held in November), educators participate in clinics pertinent to their careers, enjoy networking opportunities, and have an opportunity to bring students who interact with guest clinicians and conductors. The conference culminates in the presentation of student performances of Choral and Wind Ensembles, under the baton of master conductors.
